Whats a good way to start out my career choice thing as a country singer?

Whats a good way to start? i loveeeee Taylor Swift. She has amazing song. I look up to her. and singing is like my LIFE. I am shy though, but im gonna try and get over that by singing in churches and stuff like that. Is that a good way to start? if not any suggestions? Oh and tips over giving up my shyness would be great too haha[[: btw im 13 in seventh grade.

You might want to move to nashville…I believe that is where the country music record companies are…you will have a better chance of making it out there…also you have to make yourself stand out…so play instruments and write your songs and be original…to get over your shyness just perform more in front of people…especially like your peers at school or whatever because they are the hardest people to perform in front of in my opinion…so yeah…do that…school talent show…haha theres a good one…

I want to be a country singer too but I was shy. I have gotten over that and I’ve started to write songs. Just be different. You have to be very unique. Don’t try to be like Taylor Swift or no one will want to buy your albums. If you are just like Taylor Swift, why would they buy your stuff when they could buy her stuff? Find a unique type of singing that’s original and go with it. And you probably would help yourself if you would move to Nashville. That’s where I’m headed in 2012. Good luck and maybe we’ll meet someday. Who knows, we may be on tour together! =D
