What is the best route to take to find a job in Georgia as a recent graduate?

Ingrid R asked:

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a 4.0 gpa and also a paralegal certificate.
What is the best route to take to find a job in Georgia as a recent graduate or if majority of the positions require law firm experience?

Atlanta is the engine behind Georgia. If you can’t find a job there, then go to the surrounding suburbs. See if you can earn a job as a professor’s assistant at Georgia Tech or Georgia. Finally, apply to Augusta National for a golf membership.

    Create a video blog

Stand in the middle of the road and hold a sign that says “Looking for Job”.

On a more serious note: Post your resume online at sites like. There are hundreds of sites that employers use to search new talent for companies.

Also, take interest in networking groups. Don’t be afraid to go to the events and carry your resume around just in case.

Look in your local newspaper for any upcoming job fairs. That is a GREAT way to get your resume out there, too.

Go online to your city website and post your resume with your city/county, too.

    Good luck!

Take advantage of your college’s placement services. Good opportunities and they understand the value of your degree and GPA.
