UC Davis has an excellent economics program. Get in good with the profs, go to grad school there, and work at the Federal Reserve Bank. That's my plan...

<a href="http://kansieo.com">career planning</a>

Accounting-you are correct, boring and stable, there are accountants for big corporations who focus only on their own company, and there are CPAs who are public accountants for many different small businesses.

Management- you dont go to college for Management, you go to college to find your area of interest and then once you are out in the real world you become a manager by excelling. There are management courses and stuff you can do to help yourself manage better but I would not think about those in college unless you are certain your path determines managerial experience...

Investment banking is not as glorious as it sounds. You are a salesperson, you do very little investing...You don't make money by sitting around and having people come to you. You have to be selling them investments...I hated that part of it and quit.

I was an economics major too, I've been in the real world 11 years now and can say don't worry about it...Economics prepares you for every single office job there is. It has lots of real world applications. You will be fine.
