Want a career change and wanted to know if I would be taken seriously?
DownInGeorgia asked:
I recently graduated from college with a degree in Economics (Business Major). If I get certified as a PC Tech with A++ and such will I be taken seriously or do I need to get some type of computer based degree. Im looking at going to a PC tech or Help desk and eventually a system admin, but this is down the road. Seriously and actually CONSIDERED

If you get trained as a PC Tech then no big deal.
The degree just makes you a smarter person.
If you want to be a programmer than you need to go get a Computer Science Degree.

I would get a computer based degree just in case of people with a little better experience.
I’m not saying you wont get the job im saying if an employer looks at your resume and someone elses its better to do what you can now then once you’ve been rejected.
