How long did it take to find your 2nd financial job?
Buckeye4Life asked:
I am currently in my first financial job out of college and as luck would have it, have been hired by an abusive employer with lack of new hire support. Because of this, I am looking for a second job in the finance field and am eager to leave my current job after less than a year. My question for you is if I quit without a job offer lined up, how long would you expect I will have to wait until I can find another job? I don’t care about location or pay at this point in my life.

The job market is getting tougher now.Don’t resign/quit on impulse. The best time to seek a job is when you are employed.Because you have something on your hand and can bargain for better prospects than when without a job.You are not the lone case It happens with many.
It wud be better if in process you complete at least one year or more.Normally a job change in the way that you intend may take 6-8 months(saying from experience).Good companies take about two months for recruiting. So keep your options open & stay on job till you get the offer letter. As for your abusive boss just keep in your mind, you can work him around,as he’s human too!.

You never want to quit a job until you have something else lined up, especially with this economy. There is a saying which is true, “It is easier to get a job when you have one.”
