I don’t know much about this field… but I do know a few single moms doing our business… Any business requires work… you will not find someting for free that will produce a decent income… businesses require some form of investment… otherwise you will not have the drive to succeed. McDonald’s has a huge investment ($250,000)… But let’s say you open a hot dog stand… you will have to buy a cart ($5,700+), the hot dogs, buns, condiments, etc… That is a larger investment than the business my wife and I are in… Our business is a home based business I provided the link below. Thank you, Paul

Hello Missmary:
A “technical” school may provide the best solution given your desire to make it good but quick in terms of getting an education putting you in the fields you suggested.
Tech schools are easy to find just be sure to speak to faculty and former students before you jump into them.
Hope this helps.

Generally, radiologic technology (x-ray tech) school is 40 hours per week for 2 years with no pay. (FYI – you have to do x-ray before you can do CT.)
MAs and transcriptionists don’t make nearly as much as registered radiologic technologists. I also wonder about the future of transcription with so many doctors using voice-recognition programs.
Here is some more info:

Medical assistant:
Medical transcriptionist:

Create a video blog
in the end you have to do what you like. The best way to find out is to take career aptitude tests like this one and if you are lucky at the end they might even offer you a job, in any case they’ll tell you what suits your own personality, based on the test you took.
there might be a few more tests here–listings.info/
hope I helped, cheers
